First, treat your hair with Henna Powder, keep it on, then apply Indigo Powder after 1 hour, and leave it on for about 2 hours. It is preferred that you do this on a weekend, as you catch up with work at home, or watch your favorite TV shows.
In a mixing bowl, soak the Henna Powder (100 gms for short hair, 200 gms for shoulder-length hair, 300 gms for long hair) with regular or warm water, Herbal Tea Water or Coffee Water overnight. (Adding coffee dissolved water makes the red color of henna more visible.) Add three to four tablespoons of Lemon Juice, as the acidic properties of lemon juice will act as an astringent to cleanse your scalp. Add Yogurt and one Egg for conditioning your hair. Soak it overnight. Then apply the paste to your hair for 1 hour.
Next, mix the Indigo Powder (100 gms for short hair, 200 gms for shoulder-length hair, 300 gms for long hair) in warm water to prepare a paste. If you are using your hands, then apply the powder to your hair strands using gloves, provided by us. Or use a short silicon spatula. Leave it on for 120 minutes (2 hours) depending on how dark you want the hair color. It’s advisable to keep the paste on your hair for up to 2 hours to get a rich black color. Repeating the procedure in a few weeks will help get your hair stained darker.
After 3 hours, rinse your hair thoroughly with warm water. Do not use shampoo to wash your hair as this will cause your hair to lose moisture, making it brittle and dry.
